Of exceptional importance is the Sung volume of the projected
thirteen-part Great Dictionary of Chinese History. Entries
are arranged by stroke-count. The author of the entry is given at
the end of each item. It includes short biographies, explanations
of institutional terms, book titles, etc.
There are also volumes devoted to the preceding period and to
the conquest dynasties.
